Building XNA 2.0 Games - ZombieSmashersXna
Friday 15 May 2009 - 13:34:45
So, what have I been up to lately? I've been reading through 'Building XNA 2.0 Games' by James Silva and John Sedlak.
(Zombie Smashers - built following the code and instructions in the book)
There's recently been a large increase in spam posts on the forum and in some of the Games Arcade comments. At the moment I'm keeping on top of them and deleting them as soon as I spot them.
I created a new example for someone so thought I'd add it here in the Downloads section. While getting ready to add it, I came across another example I'd done that was ready to be added as well. The new examples are; Enemy Following Player Nodes and Finding Closest Enemy. Enemy Following Player Nodes shows a basic way of getting enemies and other objects to follow your player. Finding Closest Enemy shows how you can easily find which enemies (or other objects) are the closest and then use that information. Both example files are available in the Downloads section now.
Viper Squad - development details
Wednesday 14 January 2009 - 23:24:08

So I stopped, did a quick bit of planning and came up with the basis for what is going to be Viper Squad. I'll create a project page for it soon with more details but in the meantime here is a video of the current progress in a test area just using library graphics (which will be changed for better ones):
